Summary:
In the General education curriculum 2018, Natural Sciences is an integrated subject which is developed on the basis of physic, chemistry, biology and Earth sciences. Compared to the current curriculum, this subject shows new points in both approach and content. In this paper, the author analyzes some basic features of duration, content, standards of knowledge and skills, as well as the expected requirements in teaching the topic of “Matter and its transformation”, then compares with the chemistry program at secondary level in 2006, thereby helping readers have a more general view of Natural Sciences subject in general and the topic of “Matter and its transformation” in particular.
