Summary:
The article searches, analyzes, and compares the educational objectives, subject structure, and educational activities in primary education across the general education curricula (the 1981 Curriculum, the 2006 Curriculum, and the 2018 Curriculum), in relation to two major curriculum reforms. The findings show that comprehensive primary education has consistently been a priority. Through successive reforms, the objectives of education, the subject structure, and educational activities have evolved in line with the context, conditions, and requirements of each stage. At the same time, the curriculum has become increasingly modern, focused on developing learners’ qualities and competencies, and aligned with contemporary trends in curriculum development. The study also identifies several lessons learned and provides recommendations for curriculum implementation and further development in the coming period.
