INTEGRATING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN TEACHING NONMETAL CHEMISTRY FOR GRADE-9 STUDENTS AT SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Integrating environmental education in teaching plays an important role in raising self-awareness and forming habbits to protect the environment for future citizens, contributing to building a sustainable environment. In order to improve the quality of environmental education, keep the environment clean, and improve living conditions for humans, students are required not to learn knowledge in class and put knowledge into practice but also to be educated about environment protection in their real lives as well as understand how to reduce climate change and to save fossil fuel. Within the scope of the article, the authors examines the teaching processes on integrated teaching topic of “Coal called “black gold” with non-renewable resources” for students at the secondary schools in Hoan Kiem district of Hanoi.
