Summary:
In the context that Vietnam is undergoing a major education reform, teachers’ sense of happiness is one of the important criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of changes in the educational program. The initial investigation on the positive effects of this innovation was conducted through a survey in Nam Dinh province with the results of multidimensional information sources. In addition to the positive information, it still raises many questions for managers. The survey results show that teachers who feel “their work is meaningful” account for 3.10/5 points, which is the lowest score in the evaluation criteria. In addition, the percentage of teachers who “completely do not believe” and “slightly do not believe” in happiness in the future still accounts for a relatively large proportion (24.4%). However, some other criteria such as “Satisfied with current job position” have a higher evaluation score (4.05/5 points), and “Feeling motivated at work” reached 4.11/5 points. Based on the research results, the author hopes that the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training will consider specific action to help teachers increase their professional happiness.
