THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EDUCATION, PEDAGOGY AND TEACHING: A COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVE

Summary: 
The field of education encompasses unique and specialized terminology. Discussing these terms is essential for administrators, teachers, parents, students, and the broader community, as it helps them better understand this diverse and deeply professional domain. In practice, there remains ambiguity in the use of the terms “education”, “pedagogy”, and “teaching”, as well as confusion in the implementation of these processes. This raises the question of the boundaries between them, their meanings, scope, characteristics, and interrelationships. Approaching and applying terminology related to educational processes requires careful consideration due to their complexity, diversity, and the specific context of educational environments. Through comparison, generalization, synthesis, and systematization of relevant studies, this article offers an analysis and clarification of key terms to promote more coherent and accurate educational practices.
