Summary: 
To meet the requirements of the quality of trained human resources in the new context, general education needs a strong innovation in contents and methods in the direction of stimulating students in experiential learning to train the skills of applying knowledge into practice. The 10th grade biology is a subject studying the basic characteristics of life at the cellular level, the microbial world, and the impact of microorganisms on human life. The characteristics of the subject require that students need to study in an experiential way to discover knowledge, thereby forming and developing the biological competence and the ability to apply knowledge in practice. Applying teaching methods to stimulate students to learn in the experiential way in Biology 10 creates conditions for students to practice, experiment, observe, explore, and solve problems, thereby improving knowledge and new skills. The article focuses on analyzing the concept of experiential teaching and the skills of applying knowledge into practical contexts in Biology 10, and the methods of experiential teaching to train the skills of applying knowledge into practical contexts. In addition, the article investigates the results of training the knowledge application skill of Biology 10 into practical contexts for students through using the experiential teaching methods in Biology 10 at the Western Australian International School System in Ho Chi Minh City. These findings suggest the possibility of applying the experiential teaching methods into teaching the 10th grade biology subject in the direction of developing quality and competence (2018 Program) to improve the competence of applying knowledge in practice for students.
