ACADEMIC ANXIETY AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH ANXIETY DISORDER OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN HANOI

Summary: 
The purpose of this study was to explore the situation of academic anxiety, and the ralationship between academic anxiety and anxiety disorder. A sample of 262 high school students in Hanoi city participated in the survey which was conducted in September 2020. The measures are (i) Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7); and (ii) Academic Anxiety Scale, which were created by collaboration of AAI by Rachel G. Pizzie & David J. M. Kraemer (2019) and FLCAS by Horwitz et al. (1986). The results indicated that there is a difference in the level of academic anxiety among students regarding to academic achievement (GPA) and birth-order. A strongly positive correlation was observed between anxiety disorder and academic anxiety and its components.
