SELF-PRESENTATION ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND LIFE SATISFACTION AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

This study refers to the relationship between self presentation on social media and life satisfaction among high school students, as social media increasingly affects students’ psychological lives. Using a survey questionnaire, the study surveyed 674 high school students in Dong Thap, Long An (currently part of Tay Ninh), and Ho Chi Minh City from February to April 2025. The results indicate that students express a moderate level of self-presentation across various aspects of social media and report a high level of life satisfaction across multiple domains. This level also shows differences across gender, academic performance, and residential area. Self presentation on social media showed a low correlation with high school students’ life satisfaction, suggesting that students’ life satisfaction was influenced by many factors other than self presentation on social media. This finding suggests several directions for future research and psychological intervention in education. The study’s limitations are also discussed in the paper.
