Summary:
This study investigates the relationships among ethical awareness of artificial intelligence (AI), perceived ethical risks (PER) of AI use, and behavioral intention to use AI in learning among Vietnamese university students, a context characterized by rapid digital transformation and emerging AI governance. Data was collected from 310 university students in Vietnam through an online questionnaire using convenience sampling. The findings show that students demonstrated relatively high levels of ethical awareness and behavioral intention, while their perceived ethical risks were moderate. Regression analysis produced a statistically significant model explaining 28.7% of the variance in students’ behavioral intention to use AI. Ethical awareness was a strong positive predictor of behavioral intention (β = 0.563, p < 0.001), whereas perceived ethical risk did not have a statistically significant effect. Contrary to common assumptions, higher ethical awareness does not hinder but rather enhances students’ intention to use AI in learning.
