STUDENTS’ COOPERATIVE SKILLS IN ONLINE LEARNING AT THE INDUSTRY UNIVERSITY OF HO CHI MINH CITY

In the context of digital transformation, online learning has been widely implemented across universities in Vietnam. To complete learning tasks in online environments as required by instructors, students need to develop a wide range of skills, among which cooperative skills play a particularly crucial role. Based on a survey of 577 second-and third-year students from three faculties at the Industry University of Ho Chi Minh City, the results indicate that students’ cooperative skills in online learning are generally at a good level. Notably, skills such as task coordination, the use of online tools and platforms, and the organization of individual work to fulfill group responsibilities were rated as very good. However, time management, proactive collaboration, and conflict resolution skills were only assessed at an average level. Furthermore, significant differences in cooperative skills were observed between second- and third-year students and among students from the three faculties. The article also proposes several measures to improve cooperative skills to enhance students’ academic performance in online learning environments within the study context.
