Summary:
The practice of training and competing in Taekwondo has proved that, despite having good technique and power, without the strength of speed, the athletes’ attacks will not be highly effective, and they can hardly finish the match with strong attacks, “knock-down” attacks. In Taekwondo, foot blows are mainly used, such as split, round, front, rear... These moves bring high efficiency in competition. By the theoretical and practical basis and conventional scientific research methods in sports, the article selects several complementary exercises to develop the strength and speed of kicks in advance for the male taekwondo team at Yen Lac 2 High School - Vinh Phuc, thereby improving their performance.
