APPLYING THE TRANSACTION-RESPONSE THEORY IN TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION OF THE TEXT “HERCULES LOOK FOR THE GOLDEN APPLES” (LITERATURE TEXTBOOK 10, KITE SET)

The teaching trend in the world today has been changing from providing knowledge to developing learner’s competence. Therefore, teaching activities focus on making learner’s activities more active. The transactionresponse theory states students’ important role while “transacting” with the literary works. Each student is an entity with a certain cultural background, knowledge, experiences… and actively takes up literary works with their feedback and experiences, “filling their answer in the text” by themselves. To study and apply experience of playing the role of art witness into the work under a four-step process in teaching reading comprehension of mythical texts towards developing students’ competence are one of the innovative teaching methods that “set fire” real feelings starting from words, creating three-dimensional space of the art world, feeding love and raising deep understanding of literature.
