SOLUTIONS FOR ENHANCHING THE TEACHING QUALITY OF LECTURES IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Summary: 
Digital transformation is an essential driver of development, creating numerous new demands across all fields, with education considered a top priority. Teaching quality of lecturers is a critical factor in enhancing educational standards and making a significant contribution to comprehensive educational innovation. This article surveys the opinions of 268 individuals, including 40 managers, 162 female staff, and 106 male staff members at various public universities in Ho Chi Minh City. A sample of 16 participants, consisting of 8 managers and 8 lecturers actively involved in teaching, was selected for semi-structured interviews using a convenience sampling method. The results indicate that teaching staff are steadily improving in both quantity and professional capacity, including expertise, professional qualifications, and practical skills. However, with the rapid advancement of science and technology, new requirements for technological skills and the integration of technology into teaching demand that lecturers develop competencies suited to digital transformation in education. In response to these challenges, this article proposes several solutions to improve teaching quality among lecturers within the context of digital transformation.
