Summary: 
In order to meet the job requirements for highly skilled workers, many countries have promoted their policies that allow students of vocational education and training institutions to enroll in further training programs. Recent research shows that credit transfer and recognition of learners’ prior learning assessment enables them to transfer from vocational education and training to higher education. The article discusses international experiences with credit transfer and recognition of prior learning assessment between vocational education and training and higher education, thereby drawing some lessons for Vietnam.
