Factors affecting pre-service teachers’ pedagogical competence: A case report from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education

Summary: 
This article examines the results of research on factors affecting the pedagogical competence as perceived by 187 pre-service teachers in Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. The study aims to determine the level of self-assessment of the factors affecting students’ pedagogical competence. Quantitative methods are commonly used in this research. The results showed that students who self-assess the factors of subject practicing, professional training, professional attitude, and activity participating have a positive influence on students’ pedagogical competence.
