ASSESSMENT OF UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEMBERS’ WORK MOTIVATION

Summary: 
This paper examines the current situation of faculty members’ work motivation assessment at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The study conducted surveys on 266 faculty members and interviewed 5 out of the 266 faculty members working full-time in the university. The research results showed a number of strengths and limitations of job characteristics; training and career development opportunities; policies and benefits; and working environment. The results serve as practical basis for helping university leaders and policymakers to promulgate accurate, scientific and reasonable policies, as well as a conclusion for faculty member evaluation and classification
