A STUDY ON STUDENTS' ATTITUDES AND PERCEPTIONS OF USING CHATGPT TO LEARN ENGLISH

Summary: 
ChatGPT has gained considerable attention across various fields such as law, healthcare, economics, and education. In education, ChatGPT is regarded not only as a promising tool to enhance teaching and learning experiences but also as an effective and valuable resource for English language acquisition. This study explores students' attitudes and perceptions towards using ChatGPT for learning English. The research sample consists of 150 second-year students at Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology. Data collected from online surveys were analyzed to determine the percentage distribution of responses. The findings reveal that ChatGPT has demonstrated significant effectiveness and user satisfaction in assisting English learning. Additionally, when students possess a proper understanding and awareness of this technology, they are able to harness its advantages and features to enhance their learning processes effectively.
