DEVELOPING A SYSTEM OF QUESTIONS TO ENHANCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF AESTHETIC READING IN TEACHING LYRIC POETRY IN HIGH SCHOOL LITERATUR

Summary: 
To meet the requirements of the General Education Curriculum 2018, the Literature curriculum aims to develop students’ qualities and competencies. Accordingly, in terms of teaching Literature in high schools, reading comprehension, including aesthetic reading, plays an indispensable role. Aesthetic reading in teaching literary works in general and in teaching lyrical poetry in particular is considered an effective way of teaching, partially meeting the requirements of teaching under the New High School Literature Curriculum. One of the positive measures to improve the effectiveness of aesthetic reading in teaching lyrical poetry towards the development of learners’ qualities and competencies is the use of an appropriate reading comprehension question system, especially depending on the teacher’s ability and his/her art of questioning. Based on the analysis of a number of theoretical issues, the article proposes a system of reading comprehension questions aimed towards aesthetic reading in teaching lyric poetry in high schools. This is one of the important measures to contribute to improving teaching efficiency in Literature in high schools today.
