DEVELOPING EDUCATIONAL SERVICES: EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE FROM SOME COUNTRIES AND THE LESSONS LEARNED FOR VIETNAM

Summary: 
Education is the key to the socio-economic development of a country. However, there is a big gap in urban and rural education. Therefore, in order to develop the country and promote the social justice, it is essential to develop educational services for rural people to bridge that gap. This article focuses on some main contents, including: the definitions and content of educational services; developing educational services models for rural people; some empirical evidence on developing the educational services for rural people in some countries, thereby proposing the learned lessons that are suitable for Vietnam.
