BRIEF INTRODUCTION ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION IN EDUCATION INNOVATION IN SINGAPORE

Summary: 
We are in the 21st Century, when the world is entering the Fourth Industrial Revolution with the Internet of Things (IoT) and the big data source. As a result, a great many technology achievements are embedded in education, such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). In order to keep up with technological innovations, besides having a good technical foundation, it is also necessary to renovate learners’ thinking way, strengthen the 21st century skills, including Digital skills; Social and emotional skills; and Transferable Skills. AR and VR have been developed in many countries of the world, such as Korea, Germany, and Singapore. The initial results showed the strength of technology applications in educational innovation. Vietnamese education has been renewed towards approaching the education of some advanced countries, reaching an intelligent education system. However, in order to implement effectively with educational practices of Vietnam, we need to learn from the experience of other countries like Singapore. This article briefly introduces how Singapore approaches and implements the technology applications in its educational innovation. Thereby, there are great things that can be learned for Vietnam when approaching to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
