Summary:
This study investigates the current status of art education management for lower-secondary school students in Nghe An province through the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle. It focuses on the implementation of planning (Plan), execution (Do), evaluation (Check), and improvement (Act), aiming to assess the extent to which each stage of the PDCA cycle is applied in managing art education. Data were collected using questionnaires and in-depth interviews with administrators and teachers from 23 public lower-secondary schools, selected to represent different geographical regions and levels of educational and art education development in Nghe An province. The findings indicate that the management of art education for students remains at a moderate level across all stages of the PDCA cycle. The novelty of the research lies in applying the PDCA quality management model to art education, which helps identify specific limitations and propose practical recommendations as a foundation for improving the quality of art education at the lower-secondary level in Nghe An province, thereby contributing to the overall enhancement of educational quality in the region.
