Comparation between Japanese and Vietnamese Primary Education model

Summary: 
In the process of developing the Vietnam’s general education curriculum, researching the educational models of other countries with advanced education systems is necessary to find the advantages for reference and application by which Japan has long been considered as a typical education system, as well as a country with many particular features that are close to Vietnam. Therefore, understanding the Japanese primary education model will contribute to an effective and successful implementation of the new general education curriculum which released in 2018, improving the quality of the primary education. The article compares some elements between Japan and Vietnam in term of primary education model to have a foundation for proposing the application of the primary education model in Japan for primary schools in Vietnam, meeting the demand for fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education.
