Summary:
In recent years, the integration of digital technology (DT) into early childhood education, particularly in STEAM activities, has attracted considerable attention from educators and researchers. Scholars have explored the potential of digital tools to enhance learning quality and increase learner engagement. This study aims to examine the current situation regarding the perceived benefits and feasibility of applying DT in preschool STEAM education. A quantitative research method was employed through a survey of 421 preschool teachers in kindergartens across Hanoi. The findings reveal that both groups of teachers (those working in nationally accredited kindergartens and those in non-accredited kindergartens) share a generally positive perspective on the benefits and feasibility of DT integration in STEAM education. However, teachers in accredited kindergartens demonstrated a slightly more favorable attitude toward the use of technology. This research contributes to clarifying the current practices and influencing factors related to DT application in STEAM education, thereby providing theoretical and practical foundations for developing and improving the use of digital technology in early childhood education.
