STUDENT WELL-BEING: STRUCTURE AND MEASUREMENT

Summary: 
Student well-being is not only an outcome of personal growth but also a strong predictor of a variety of constructive learning practices and academic outcomes. It is also essential for promoting the general development of students. Given its complex and multifaceted nature, this concept has been studied from a variety of theoretical angles, producing a broad range of conceptual frameworks and assessment tools. Although the idea of student well-being has drawn more attention in the Vietnamese educational system, there is still a lack of a thorough theoretical framework and suitable, standardized measurement tools for comparison. Using a theoretical research technique, this study explores the structural models of student well-being, defining its core components and conceptual basis. The study also presents a number of assessment instruments that may be useful in the Vietnamese educational setting. The results help to establish a scientific foundation for creating strategies to improve kids’ well-being in schools.
