Education for ethnic minority and mountainous areas in terms of accessing and equalizing in the education access for ethnic minority students

Education in general, education for students in ethnic minorities and mountainous areas in particular has always attracted special attention from the Party and the state. The quality of education is increasingly concerned to meet the needs of learners for the accessibility opportunities and the quality for students in ethnic minorities and mountainous areas, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. In terms of accessing and equalizing in the education access for the ethnic minority students, the article aims to timely provide the evidence on the current situation and some issues related to the ethnic minority students through the universalization of education, a measuring method based on the main criteria for enrollment, enrollment ratios at the right age, promotion, transfer and other issues related to gender, ethnicity, and regions, etc. They are detected and analysed through studies and data informations from Ministry of Education and Training, and General Statistics Office, providing a basis for recommendations in the construction of Vietnam’s education strategy in the next period.
