Summary:
Although Mathematics has always attracted the interest of teaching and learning, its specific impact on human perception is still a question without a clear answer. To solve this problem, the authors sought to clarify the impact of Mathematics on five intellectual development indexes of high school students through surveying over 515 gifted students at a number of high schools in Ho Chi Minh City with a test calculated against those five indicators. Although the authors can only carry out the survey directly on a small number of these students and the rest completed the survey via Google Forms due to the Covid pandemic, the results are still remarkable. The survey results show that the Math curriculums in high schools along with the individual teaching methods of each teacher in the school have performed the task of training five indicators of students’ intellectual development. The results also demonstrates its superiority in meeting all indicators of intellectual development of gifted students at high schools in Natural Science compared with those at high schools in Social Sciences. Above all, a number of indicators suggest that the students majored in Natural Sciences have done much
