Summary:

The article compares several specific features of experimental activities under the Vietnam new general education curriculum (2018) with Comprehensive lessons in Japanese primary education. Some comments are also provided on the initial successes and limitations in the curriculum as well as the actual implementation of the experimental activity in Vietnamese schools, which forms the basis for proposing some potential innovation plans to keep implementing the experimental activities in the primary education program, making the best use of the advantages of this type of educational activity
