THE CURRENT STATUS OF APPLYING METAVERSE AT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN VIETNAM

Summary: 
In a digitalized and developed world, the term "Metaverse" is becoming increasingly popular in life and education. Metaverse is a virtual reality product that enhances human interaction in the visible and digital world. The article analyzes the current situation of applying Metaverse in higher education institutions by surveying 684 managers, lecturers, experts, engineers, and students at ten universities through a questionnaire designed in Google Forms. Research results show that the survey sample is random, diverse, and representative of different professions and fields in social sciences, natural sciences, computers, information technology, etc. Through research, the article gives an opinion on the level of familiarity with the concept of Metaverse, the percentage of Metaverse application users by survey subjects, the level of Metaverse integration into training programs, as well as its benefits and challenges when applied to higher education institutions in Vietnam today.
