CURRENT SITUATION OF THE MANAGEMENT OF TEACHER EVALUATION AND CLASSIFICATION BY HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPALS IN BA TRI DISTRICT OF BEN TRE PROVINCE

Evaluation and classification of teacher is one of the principals’ management work which determines the effectiveness of the principals’ management. This paper examines the current situation of the management of teacher evaluation and classification carried out by high school principals in Ba Tri district of Ben Tre province based on the approach of four management functions.The study conducted a survey on 123 teachers and interviewed 5 out of 123 teachers working full-time at schools in Ba Tri district of Ben Tre province. The study results provided information on the strengths, limitations as well as the cause of its limitations evaluating and classifying teachers implemented by principals in these schools. This result is considered as a practical basis to help school leaders to promulgate scientific and reasonable policies, as well as plans for teacher evaluation and classification.
