Summary: 
There are many approaches and methodologies related to teaching English in practice. In particular, task-based approach (TBA) has been paid much attention by educators. This paper is aimed to provide an overview of TBA to English language teaching at university. The first two parts present the theoretical basis of TBA and model of Gorp and Bogaert (2006). The next part of this paper introduces specific steps which are adopted from the model to implement an English speaking lesson with one selected task from the theoretical basis. Besides that, some suggestions for further research of applying TBA in teaching English are presented in the conclusion.
