SOME ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS FOR MANAGEMENT OF UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOLS DURING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2018 GENERAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM

The new General Education Curriculum issued in 2018 has been implemented at the upper secondary schools since 2020. The 2018 General Education Curriculum towards developing students’ qualities and competencies poses inevitable requirements for innovating the high school management to adapt to changes in perspectives, orientations, goals, content, methods, etc., and contribute to the success of comprehensive educational reform. The article uses the CIPO model (Context - Input - Process - Output) to evaluate, analyse, and raise some issues in managing upper secondary schools based on the results of a survey conducted at some upper secondary schools under the research on “Solutions for the management of upper secondary schools during the implementation of the 2018 General Education Curriculum”. Based on the theoretical research on educational curriculum and practical research on managing the upper secondary schools after three years of implementing the 2018 General Education Curriculum at the upper secondary school level, the article proposed solutions to manage them according to the CIPO model during the implementation of the 2018 General Education Curriculum.
