THE CURRENT SITUATION OF MANAGING COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION ACTIVITIES FOR 5-6-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN IN SEVERAL PRESCHOOLS IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Summary: 
Cognitive development educational activities in preschools play a crucial role in fostering children’s comprehensive growth while also enhancing the quality of education. Currently, the management of these activities in preschools is an urgent issue that requires attention to ensure that practices are well-oriented and effectively implemented. The research was conducted using self-report questionnaires with the participation of 10 administrators and 98 teachers from five public preschools in Cluster 1, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City. Results show that while schools have achieved positive outcomes in planning and organizing activities, weaknesses persist in supervision, feedback, and the functioning of professional groups. The research addresses a practical gap in preschool management related to cognitive development and proposes feasible measures to strengthen management effectiveness, thereby enhancing the quality of education for older preschoolers in the local context.
