Summary:
This article presents the characters and the roles of the knowledge and knowledge system in the modern society with the development of the knowledge economy, digital economy and the globalization. Knowledge classification and forms of knowledge connection in the application and development process are also mentioned in the article. The author then proposes the knowledge transformation cycle as a basis for thinking-cognitive activities and knowledge development in education and training
