SOLUTIONS TO REDUCING PEER PRESSURE AMONG CONTINUING EDUCATION LEARNERS USING THE PROBLEM - PLAN - DATA - ANALYSIS - CONCLUSION MODEL

Summary: 
Students in the Continuing education system often face significant psychological, social, and academic pressures due to differences in age, personal circumstances, and educational environments compared to regular high school students. This study applies the PPDAC (Problem, Plan, Data, Analysis, and Conclusion) model to reduce peer pressure and enhance self-awareness, emotional self-regulation, and positive behaviors among Continuing Education students. The experimental pedagogical method was conducted using a pre–post intervention design with 80 participants from continuing education centers in Ho Chi Minh City. Data were collected through survey questionnaires, emotional journals, and self-assessment forms administered before and after the intervention. The results indicated a marked improvement in students’ cognition, emotions, and behaviors. The PPDAC model thus proved to be feasible and effective in school psychological education, contributing to the development of students’ confidence, learning attitudes, and social skills within the Continuing education system.
