Summary:
Digital competence plays an important role in enabling Health Sciences students to analyze and apply biomedical data in learning and research. However, in teaching the Medical Statistics course, students’ digital competence development remains limited due to insufficient integration of digital technologies and authentic data. This study proposes organizing the teaching of Medical Statistics based on a digital competence development-oriented approach for Health Sciences students. Based on theoretical research, document analysis, and synthesis of relevant studies, the paper develops a teaching process that integrates digital tools into medical contexts, thereby providing a theoretical basis for improving students’ competence in searching and processing data, statistical analysis, and applying digital technologies in learning and research.
