Summary:
Blended learning is a modern instructional model based on digital platforms that has emerged in recent decades, fostering more dynamic teaching and learning while providing diverse learning experiences. This model offers numerous advantages in education in general and in the teaching of elective subjects at the high school level in particular. To assess the current application of the blended learning model in teaching elective subjects, this study surveyed 1,850 high school teachers across five provinces and cities, representing different regions of the country. The results show that most teachers have an accurate and comprehensive understanding of the nature of blended learning. In their teaching practice, teachers have actively integrated digital technology activities and applied blended learning to a certain extent. Notably, despite many challenges, most teachers expressed a willingness to engage in professional development to adapt to the implementation of new teaching models. However, the survey also revealed several issues related to awareness and obstacles in the process of applying the blended learning model. These findings provide important practical evidence for identifying support measures to help teachers overcome difficulties and apply the blended learning model more effectively in practice.
